Gone is the old way of displaying your cupcakes, and having them look like traditional birthday cupcakes. Instead, opt for a more traditional approach whereby you get fancy liners or wrappers made to fit your wedding theme and colours.
There are so many ideas out there that you can incorporate to ensure that your wedding is personalised. The below cupcake liner can be modified to have your and your fiancée's names around the outer edge, and even your wedding date or favourite quote.
Alternatively, instead of having the die cut liner, opt for a quirky paper design and decorate the cupcakes yourself with your chosen paper.
Unfortunately these stunning wrappers are predominantly available to purchase overseas, however, any good stationary company should be able to assist you in making these. You can even find funky wrapping paper and use that as an alternative too. I found these stunning ones at www.favordays.com.

Although hard find in South Africa there are limited designs available on request.
Yes, it is a truly great idea to use gift wrap to make your own wrappers. You can also make use of different scissor
edges for different fininshes. Keep in mind that if you are using gift wrap that is porous the cupcake could leave
marks on your wrappers which will not look elegant. This problem can be solved with a small piece of waxpaper
between your wrapper and cupcake. For a feminine teaparty try half a doilie to make a wrapper.
Enjoy creating extravagant looking cupcakes and remember to think out of the box.

Everyone asked where I had bought my cupcakes from because they looked so fancy, and I don't think they were too badly priced,
as I have seen the imported ones at cake shops for about R90 for 12 :)
Most of the other websites I found, didn't have their prices published online and you have to email them to get pricing...
