Many brides are opting for candy buffets as an added extra for their wedding guests. I recently came across this article on the Oh so Beautiful Blog that featured a unique idea that Nicky from Doodle Dog Advertising had for her wedding. Instead of having a candy buffet, they opted for a Dessert bar!
As favours each guest received a cute little mini “recipe” book that featured all the recipes of the eats that were available at the dessert bar.
The guests were then invited to test and taste each recipe featured in the booklet. Many of their favourite recipes from family members were included. Her mom gave the guests a taste of what her “sweet snickerdoodles” tasted like while the mom of the groom’s recipe featured chunky chocolate pecan cookies.
So next time you think of doing something different for your wedding, why not let all your “secret” family recipes become public and a special part of your wedding day!
