Some fly, some drive and most of them make an effort to get to your wedding, traveling many kilometers some even coming from other countries!  They pack their bags, change their plans, board their flights and head off to attend your special day – so why not give them a special Welcome Treat?

Welcome bags

For most out of town guests receiving a treat upon arrival is your way of expressing your thanks to them for making an effort to attend your special day.

Now the question is, what to put in the welcome bag?

At Every Day Celebrations they mention that you should first consider the basics that will make up the bulk of your goodie bag.  These would include liquids, snacks, fruits, pain relievers, gum and or mints.

Basic items to put in goodie bag

You can choose between a gift bag, a basket or even a nice box that matches the theme of your wedding.

Gift Boxes

Finally, add some special touches to your gift bag or box.  Include elements of your wedding such as personalised sun screen if you are having a beach or outdoor wedding, perhaps a personalised coffee mug with their name on and welcome to our wedding, or even a nice photo frame.

No matter what items you decide to fill the goodie bag with, the guests will be just to pleased that you thought of them.
